HI
I am new to PIExpert so I need very basic information. My questions are as follows:
1. Is this a trasformer modelling software? If yes what types (geometries) of cores do you have in your database. And can I add my own custom made core if I cannot find one from library.
2. What kinds of materials are present for core (like P, F..etc). Can we add custom materials?
3. Wires: Do you have Litz wires? If you do can we alter the number of strands in Litz wire? What types of wires are present in the database? (like..round, square etc...)
4. What converter topologies are present.. (in free version I was able to see only Flyback). If there are other topologies present...(like buck, forward..etc) will it have all possible configurations..(example: For forward, the basic is three winding transformer, there are two winding transformer with different reset circuits too)
5. This software gives a schematic, but can we see the waveforms?
Thanks
Dhivya

It is a power supply design software using parts from Power Integrations (custom design software)
Yes you can cater to different materials by changing Al value accordingly on custom transformers.
At present we dont have support for Litz wires
we do not have simulation thus you dont see waveforms
