Regrading LNK306G

Posted by: Anuj on

Hi PI team,
We are using PI-LNK306GN-TL product in one of our product and we are facing a problem as LNK306 are getting damage again and again.
After 2-3 months in field testing, we found LNL306 got damage.
Kindly let us how to resolve this issue?

Hi Anuj,
I am assuming this is a high voltage input since you are using 2 e-caps in series in the input and a FET in series with LNK306. Is D21 really UF4005? It seems underrated. Do you have a list of components that were damaged or is it just LNK306? Is the voltage stress in the between the FET and LNK306 (more or less) even, especially during switching transitions? By the way maybe you would like to use the LNK3206 instead. This is a newer iteration of the LNK-TN family.
