High output voltage at Transformer secondary
Hi PI,
Myself Mohan N
I,m i have designed a 3 phase power supply using TOP269E stackfet configuration,
my spec for this is
vin_min = 180v
Vin_max=460v
Vout1=5v
Iout1= 10A
Vout2= 6v
Iout2= 1A
here my issue is i'm not getting 6v output from transformer instead im getting "15v",please the transformer design once let me know if any changes required

Hi Mohan,
What is the load on the 6V output rail? Is it 1A? if it is less than 1A, the output will go up. You need to load 1A. Also, why do you need 6V if the minimum input to the LDO is 7V? It should be higher than 7V for it to generate a 5V output. Keep the input close and above 7V for efficiency considerations.

hi mohan.
i want desing transformer for 24 volt dc and 5 amper out put . how i can computing the round of winding and size of wire for every voltage and current az i want
Hi Omid,
You may use the PIExpert design tool in our website.

Hi PI-Picard
PIExpert design tool???? please send the address this page from your website
Regards,
i try by PIExpert but can not design transformer .please help me
thank you a lot
Hi Omid,
This is the link.

May I ask the problem that you encountered in using the PIExpert?
Have you chosen a particular PI device that you will use?
Can you list down your design requirements? - topology, application, efficiency, input voltage range, no-load input power requirement, output voltage and output current.

PI-Picard
Hi Mohan,
Thank you for your inquiry.
Can you share your schematic and the PIXls that you used to generate the transformer construction so I can duplicate on my side and check?
Where is the feedback taken from, 6V or the 5V output?
What is the load condition when you get the 15V? Try loading, what do you get?
Are you using shared feedback between the 6V and the 5V?
Regards,
PI-Picard
