Do I connect the exposed thermal pad on the TOP264KG regulator IC to ground or do I leave it unconnected? Its not clear on the data sheet.

you can found in the datasheet the Exposed pad has internally connection to SOURCE Pin (you can test it ), so i recommend : connecting the Exposed pad to SOURCE pin, it mean you make the pad on the PCB for it, so the PCB will help to dissipate the heat
Thank you for your input kurniadi!
For the TOPSwitch datasheet you can check it at this link https://ac-dc.power.com/products/topswitch-family/topswitch-jx/
Hi mquinlan,
The exposed thermal pad of TOP264KG is for heat sinking, if your IC is too hot you should attached it to a heat sink. If the temperature of the IC is good, it is alright to leave it unconnected.
