Power Integrations offerings include integrated, high-voltage ICs for off-line power conversion in Notebook Adapter power supply applications. Notebook Adapter applications utilize the TOPSwitch-JX family devices, which enable highly efficient and compact laptop power supplies to be in a sealed enclosure, to withstand high ambient temperatures (e.g., 40 °C), and provide no-load performance <90 mW at 230 VAC.

TOPSwitch-JX is also available in a ultra-low-profile package (eDIP Package), that enables remarkably slim, compact, and lightweight power supplies from 20 to 100 watts.

Each IC includes a 725 V power MOSFET with a feature-rich PWM controller in one device. Features include current limiting and thermal shutdown with automatic fault recovery capability to improve reliability, frequency jittering to reduce EMI and EcoSmart™ technology to dramatically reduce standby energy waste.
