Power Integrations offers a broad range of highly integrated, high-voltage ICs for industrial applications. Each IC includes a high voltage power MOSFET combined with control and protection circuitry on a single chip. Features include current limiting and thermal shutdown with automatic fault recovery capability to improve reliability and frequency jittering to reduce EMI. LinkSwitch-XT2 is available with 900 V primary MOSFETs for high-voltage three-phase industrial power supplies up to 450 VAC input.

Ultra-Wide Input Voltage Supplies
Applications requiring voltage input above 350V AC are served using 900V rated MOSFET up to 484V input. For higher input voltage (like 580 V) stack-fet topology is preferred. Floating Constant Current Source (described in DI-152), allows the IC to start up and operate at input voltages as low as 18 V.
